Jiggyicarus - Visions of Arcadia

This is my entry for The Course of Empire Impressions Jam. This five piece soundtrack, "Visions of Arcadia", focuses on utilising repeated and developed motifs and instrumentation to bring to life the fictional world of Arcadia, a vast, historic empire. The music starts off atmospheric, detailing the commencement of the empire in all its vast yet uneasy opportunity, through to a more whimsical track imagining the pastoral state where settlers have found their stride, before turning to the day and night life of a historical city in its prime. The soundtrack finishes with the horrific and awesome destruction and desolation of Arcadia, attempting to show the cyclical nature of empires as they rise and fall.
